You guys are letting these pedestrian schemps rattle you. Here's what you do:

As they saunter in front of your shiny Benz wait until they look you in the eye. They always do that. Start to yawn, cover your mouth, open your sunroof. Sit nice and relaxed and remember your life is about 938380545883x better than theirs and trying to punk car drivers is about all they got.

And then when you get home you realize that 'they' ripped off your shiny three-star hood ornament while you were purposely trying to avoid looking at 'them' them

Could not agree with the bolded more. That's why I always act like they bore me (the yawn) and barely register on my consciousness. Then a little motion (open the sunroof) to draw attention to the facts of the situation.

I do this same thing when some twat with a loud exhaust is waiting at a red light thinking they are hot ****. I cross the crosswalk and don't give them the satisfaction of possible admiration of their stupid vehcile. Eyes front, smug as ****.

So you missed the part where I specifically mentioned eye contact? And btw, many new MB models no longer have that and just for that reason. Neither our GL nor our ML does.

I assumed that while yawning, you simply look away or close your eyes enough for you to be able to miss the swipe. Also, a hood ornament on a faux-off roader would look rather odd, no?

In regards to shiny Benz, my first thought was of:

Lulz @ a) assumption an SUV is an "off roader" and b) that the GL lacks any off-road capability. Go read R&T's or MT's reviews. I am not claiming it has the same capability my Rover did but to call it "faux" is just a Jon thing. It has to suck to be so bitter.

And why would your first thought be an older MB? All the current models have the LED strips.

:plain: dang man thats harsh

It wasn't meant to be nasty, just a joke about a newcomer who seemed to think we were all very, very concerned about his choice of shorts and t-shirt.
