What say you guys about the fit of this S&M polo coat? I bought it a month ago when they opened the sale, wanted to buy size 44 for a larger drape but that size was gone so I went for 42, which is my size in jackets. The chest is almost 2 inches less that their size charts (!) but still roomy enough that I can dress it comfortably over a jacket, still it is nowhere near my older navy overcoat, the fit which I was aiming for.

It looks pretty good to me, that's your size. I also like style, cloth and details.

I'm not sure I would like the inconsistency of flapped lower pockets and welted upper pocket. I would prefer consistency.

Different takes on the pockets are pretty common in tailoring, you'll probably never see a jacket with flap hip pockets and flap breast pocket as well. In Italy it's rather common to have patch hip pockets and a welted breast one.

Thank you for answering. After the mid-2000 slim craze I'm a maniac for avoiding too trim garments (and lapels for that matter), it's comforting that people don't see the coat as slim.
