Oxford University Jacket (Made in the UK). Actually fits pretty well...

Hope you are an American hustler who conned his way into the most exclusive university in England to pursue the girl of his dreams. Those are the only guys allowed to wear varsity coats at Oxford.

Sp here's my haul for the morning, no mind blowing stuff like some of you guy's post on the regular but interesting none the less in my opinion.

Floresheim old wingtips, sz 10.5 In great shape.

Some Ferragamo captoes that are going to be my test subjects for the stripping method mentioned a few posts back.

Hand rolled silk squares.

Wax cotton driver's cap by Dale's, made in England and with a cool plaid liner to boot!

Trafalgar red and green (Christmas?) braces.

Hand-rolled scarfs for my wife.

Silk scarf for myself, good for a night on the town:D

Pretty cool leather bound travel tie holder.

Brooks Brothers golden fleece polo made in the USA, size large for trade if anybody wants it.

PRL cotton windbreaker with a plaid collar, made in the USA

**** ugly Brioni silk shirt that I'm going to harvest the buttons off of unless somebody objects.

This:
Pattern matching is not that bad.

Discogs has worked decent for me in the past. It's also a great place to get info, as it's a user built catalogue of releases too. The downside is that it's not auction or time based, items for sale will sit there forever until the right user comes along.

You could try Discogs.com. However, it is NOT rock or pop-centric. Mainly funk, soul, disco, and more modern dance music. I've never sold there, but you could check it out.

i am distraught. i finally decided to got to a record shop in town and get a professional opinion on the value of a neat 5 piece vinyl collection from the 40's that i picked up from a thrift for $2. while walking down the stairs, it slipped from my hand, and the entire leather binding ripped apart. i have seen similar collections sell for upwards of $600. whatever this was worth, it's now a fraction of that.

appreciate the recommendation though. i may peel myself off the couch and give it a shot.

For a second I thought you were going to reference The Talented Mr. Ripley

Wait... WHAT? $1725?

Good morning sunshine! Where have you been. BTW a free thrifted tie of a decent brand to the person that outs wowniceshirt's (other) SF handle. Bet he is shopping here if not on the board.

I had to leave behind this gorgeous PRL for Corneliani suit, dark brown with a light/white pinstripe because the price was too high ($69).  Size 40R, super recent/pristine white content tag, pick stitching all over the place.  Top shelf stuff..  If anyone wants a proxy, let me know.  Also left behind a Hickey Freeman Loro Piana Tasmanian Super 130s that was around the same price ($69-$75 IIRC).  If someone wants a proxy, let me know.

Also, insane haul from yesterday forthcoming.

Yesterday picked up a real nice Nordstrom corduroy 2-button, single vent, fully lined jacket, 48R, too big for me, but too nice to leave behind, available:

PTP 25", Sleeve 26+, Length (BOC) 32", Shoulder 20"

Also, passed on this brand new 40R Coppley SC today. Would have picked it up and let out the sleeves, but the missus vetoed (apparently too "Don Cherry-like" for her taste). I can pick it up for a proxy if anyone's interested and it's still there. FYI - it was selling for $40CAD, and is half-canvassed.

:nest:

I have nothing against the guy. Glory to him. Do not, though, try to buy something from me to sell and act as if you are asking a good price for a thrifting brother. :paranoia:
offer consignment and let me think about it. that is the honest way to go.

Alright. No one else has said anything so I gotta be the asshole.
Not necessarily a thrift pix,but do you guys think it's obvious that this is not a SC? Would you wear it with jeans and/or chinos? Sleeves need to be shortened.

Burn those shorts.
Today's Thrift Fit: SC: Oxxford brown glenplaid, traded from acosbysweater :slayer:
What's going on at the shoulders??
Nice pics, fantastic mannequin. Love how you put the pants and shoe like that! Guess I was one of the few who liked it better when the table and shelves weren't so bare. Maybe put a couple items back? Would look good with a crystal decanter and tumblers, maybe something vintage made from tortoise shell, a table lighter (maybe not since you don't want to imply smoke), iGent stuff. Came across these Pal Zileri woolen beauties. 56 Eu (40 US) so not my size :( Looking for 38S/R, 30/31W...

A fit pic from last week to give a shout to rose04 (great trade) and give shiny and GMMCL a chance for revenge.
