I know this isn't really related to this thread but I figure a lot of posters here will know the answer to this question -
With USPS Priority Mail international how good is the tracking? You use the customs form to track right? I would be shipping a relatively heavy and bulky pair of boots to Germany (over 4 pounds). Buyer wants gift and value marked down as well. Just trying to see if it's worth the risk.

4 lbs you may be forced into express mail territory. Germany usually shows up more expensive than most other EU countries for me, maybe its just an figment of too many shipping labels printed. But, either way, you are looking at at least $50-$55.

4 lbs is the cutoff for USPS First Class and that doesn't have tracking. I haven't had any trouble with tracking on Priority, but I have only shipped about 20 packages internationally. You should definitely check out the price for USPS Express as well. It usually isn't that much more expensive than Priority when shipping internationally.

:nest:
I have nothing against the guy. Glory to him. Do not, though, try to buy something from me to sell and act as if you are asking a good price for a thrifting brother. :paranoia:
offer consignment and let me think about it. that is the honest way to go.

So did he try and buy something here from you and resell it? He bought a suit from me on Ebay and resold it on Ebay. He made a little over 200% on it.

Yeah figure that's about the cost, just trying to gauge if it's worth the hassle. In no rush to sell but if it's not a big hassle I don't mind sending the boots to germany

Definitely ship to Germany by Express. Their postal system sucks and loses packages often. Priority does not require a signature, so remember that (under $250 for a claim).

Brioni tux shirt, T&A french cuff number. The Brioni has an extended shirttail situation that Typhoid, back about 2,000 posts ago, said reminded him of a onesie.

But I also found more ties

How can I fix the Brioni? The stitching needs some work.

I didn't think priority international was tracked past the border just like first class? That's been my experience with it at least.

Thanks for the info. May just tell the buyer I'm not gonna ship to Germany

NAME NAMES.

Guys,
Do not get caught up in my :paranoia:
I am overworked. I apologize.
If I have evidence of something like that, I will put the name out. An advance warning.
And If I ever buy something from you guys that do not fit, I will ask permission to sell. As simple as that.

Nah, $5, pretty much anywhere. Sorry man. Decent read though, not great.

:rotflmao: I actually just meant to read. I figured it wasn't worth much.

Found a few things at lunch -- Pics later

A crazy vintage Madras/Seersucker hybrid Sport Coat at lunch. Mildly embarrassed to say it's Palm Beach* but was too awesome to leave behind.
Also a cream colored Lanvin Canvas/Linen type Blazer w/ Metal buttons, patch pockets and pick stitching.

* But let's not forget this one by Palm Beach.

Whoops. Its a pretty general, glossy, topical biography. Nothing new that I can't tell you if you ask. ;)

Too many patterns but I got dressed in a rush.

Awesome, glad the Kiton worked out for you!
