felt like thrifting a little weird today.

5x 1970s Mickey Mouse x Elgin wall clocks, two with crochet bands. Available (except the blue band one, in my kids room). Kitchen knife (discount in Paris, Laguiole) on top of one for scale. These are ******* awesome.

I totally missed the "wall clock" comment and knife reference when I first looked at this and said to myself, "Man, I would totally rock one of those". Those are crazy. I'm still looking at these thinking that knife belongs in a doll house or something.
How convenient that you have a kid you can blame it on.

Use it as a paperweight, now lawyers can't smoke in their offices right?:)

Well, I have the whole building for now. So, I guess I could. But, I won't.

At my old firm, the most senior partner had the lease written to allow him to smoke in his office. This was before the public bans on smoking. He smoked a pipe in his office and kept the door closed with 3 air purifiers going. My office was two doors down and when he was really puffing away, the air filters did not help! It must not have hurt him. He retired after 53 years. He is 83 or so now and has started a new career flipping houses!

If those are 11.5, I WANT! I knew Bostonian was once a good brand and I knew they made shell shoes years ago, but these don't look that old!
Speaking of, back in what, like 2002, I had a teacher who RAVED about Bostonian. When did they drop off? I see a lot here in Cleveland, most of which is just fodder, but if it's true they once made quality, I'd like to know when/what tag to look for... @capnwes @SpooPoker

just off topic for a second - the only better hours of tv than shark tank and the profit are back to back american pickers and hoarders, followed by intervention.

carry on.

Been watching ST and Marcus tonight as well. Someone needs to start a kickstarter to get him a new belt tho - that Hermes is getting tired (though I wouldn't doubt he has one for every day of the week). American Greed is another guilty pleasure.
