Headed out to meet kid and soon-to-be daughter in law. Raining all day but "too warm for raincoats season" already here. Rota linen pants already the go-to. Zegna linen polo.

We were Ubering so I broke down and took a raincoat. Isaia “Double Storm” treated wool. Getting less use out of it as warm weather keeps arriving earlier and staying later. Had some work trips to Seattle and San Francisco and this thing carried the day. Japanese bucket rain hat rolled up in pocket in case it got Biblical.

Too muggy to wear wax for an extended period of time. I managed to get to Georgetown and that was the end of jacket wearing.

@hpreston looks like a great time. What did you end up doing with the DJ? I personally choose cooler fabrics because I always end up running hotter. All it takes is a hot room of people dancing to get into sweat mode.

Loving the fits everyone. @TheSuitBurnsBetter is that a blue or purple jacket? Lovely texture from what I can see.

I may have found what I was looking for in a brown sheppards check vintage. Only missing the 3 roll 2 but if everything else checks out I can’t complain.

That will open up funds solidly for a linen suit next year to mark the big 40 milestone.

It's actually mostly brown with streaks of purple and tan. Really cool Loro Piana wool/silk/linen/cashmere fabric.
Wow that is even more interesting. If you can post up a pic that would be awesome. You have some great patterned jackets.l as do a few others that I have seen here .

Usually Blue Blue Japan comes out with a great blue tropical shirt every season (stocked at NMWA and at Blue Owl Workshop). This year's shirt was uninspiring but this Portugese Flannel one looks nice.

Alexandria Speed & Style was so amazing. Apart from a guy blasting Megan Thee Stallion by the marina on a 'boom box'

Weather was super weird yesterday, or not, not cold, definitely muggy when not raining…

@WoolyLamb based on the weather, I opted for the midnight tux. To me, the white DJ really needed warmer weather…. And the midnight fabric is plenty lightweight to not overheat while dancing, but looks more weather appropriate with the cooler, rainy, overcast evening.

Here’s a few pics,

I was looking forward to BBJ drop this summer (i really like one of their shirts you wear from time to time) but also ended up going with PF for a summer shirt refresh.
