Since this thread also doubles as a 'Bal appreciation' thread, I thought I'd share the 18east donegal Bal

and it isn't the same as Western Asia either.
I’m late to the Oriental/Far East discussion, but for years I’ve enjoyed tweaking my European friends by calling it “The West Asian Peninsula”.

Why is Europe even considered a continent? It’s just a bulge on Asia. If Europe is a continent, then so is Alaska.

I would love to wear that, but I live in California.

It was in the 50s yesterday in San Francisco.

it was in the 50s in Virginia yesterday too, which meant T-shirt weather for much of the day.

I know SF weather is totally different but I still can’t imagine wearing anything more than a light jacket in 50 degree weather.

Wow. That's 10 degrees in Celsius which for me is regular jacket weather, or jumper/sweater and light jacket weather.

I will admit to running pretty hot. I don’t buy sweaters because I find them to be far too hot to wear indoors.

I’m going to need to start calling Europe that.

I still don’t get the balmacaan love. It looks like a fancy bathrobe.

DWW I’ve read lots of your articles on Scottish cashmere sweater, and was curious on your thoughts on the Japanese ones, from the likes of kaptain sunshine, Auralee, batoner, etc...

No experience with them. I generally believe in trusting good brands, however, and I really love my Kaptain Sunshine stuff. If I saw a cashmere knit from them that I liked, I would buy it.
