That is a very good resolution @JSO1
, my resolution is similar, however, I want to have a negative gain/loss ratio in 2017. I suppose, that my 2017 is going to be more about refining (and wearing/appreciating) my collection vice growing.

Are those chamois LWB from Leffot's pre-order in May? If so that should mean my #8 LWB from June won't be far behind.

This was my plan for 2016. While I dont have the selection of either of you two (heck, many retailers don't have the selection of you two), I found this to be easier than I anticipated. As a result, i enjoyed my shoes more than i ever have, which was an unexepected bonus.

Yes, but I'm not sure I'd do that math on the timeline.

I actually thought some of those had come in - I had an acquaintance who got a pair that came out flawed. Worth asking, though within ten days of mine coming in they told me they didn't know...

Happy new year, everyone!

How do you all size on the 986? I am 7.5D Barrie blucher and 8D Barrie boots. 7D Barrie blucher is too narrow, 6.5E Barrie blucher has good width, but not enough toe space, and 7E Barrie is too loose in the heels. 986 in 7E is too roomy, 7.5D is good width but slightly long and my heels slip out, and 7D is too narrow. Should I try 6.5E? Or will 7.5D break in and the heel slippage will go away? Thank you!

In general most shoes will exhibit heel slip when brand new because the sole doesn't flex as much as your foot. As it breaks in, the shoe conforms to the foot and the heel slip disappears. If, however, the heel slip in the 7.5D 986 is on account of length -- i.e. your heel slipping out because the shoe is too long, and not just because the sole is stiff -- then breaking the shoes in won't resolve the issue.

Happy New Year @gatszu I wear 10.5B on the Barrie Last (Boots and Shoes) and I wear 10C on the Van Last, which is technically my TTS-1/2. Frankly, the 10C's hurt my feet when I first get them, but they loosen up a little as the cork settles. I am personally not too comfortable providing sizing advice for the Van Last for Loafers, because it is a 3-Dimensional problem, length, width, and height on the vamp and sizing comparison's do not help at all on the height, which can be the largest contributor to sizing. I would personally probably stick with 7.5D, but it depends upon how much the heel slips out and how tight the others actually are.
