A) It's a marketing ploy as aficionados like us will be able to justify having multiple variations of the same makeup in our collections.
B) Who else would give us the opportunity to name makeups after Polish dictators and alike...

Ha! I was on that list for two runs (missed it by one the first time). I got the call for the very first pair in the second run and decided to pass bc I recently acquired the whiskey LWB. Had I known they were going to be Ravisky (dark whiskey) I would have snagged them!

Glad they are in good hands!

Speaking of chamois, I'm joining this preorder from Alden of Carmel. This will take some of the pressure off of my AE Long Branches in snowy, slushy, muddy conditions:

Indy boot
Smooth Earth Chamois
White mocc stitch
Silver hooks/eyelets
Vibram sole
Natural flat welt with white welt thread.

The greatest leather! Anyone know why they do not do reverse chamois in lighter colors? is it something with the process? Right now I have only seen Earth, Tobacco, Dark Green and Navy

As someone else pointed out, I believe it is smooth chamois and not reverse.
