Stretching out the inseam of wet jeans

OK, I haven't tried/had to do this yet, but I'm debating venturing into some brands that don't have the most generous prewash inseams.

I've heard this mentioned; is it as simple as it sounds? When I soak or wash a raw pair, can I just hold them down around the waist (or the knee, or somewhere else) and yank on the leg while it's still wet, and stretch them back out to near prewash length? Is there a trick to it beyond this, or what?

They'll have to be restreched out after every time they come in contact with water most likely. I would just stick to stuff thats long enough.

I have long legs, and so have to stretch just about every pair of jeans after they are done in the washer, then hang dry. Exception: APC, which has a *ridiculous* inseam, like 38 or something.

In any case, it's no big deal if you're a wash-your-jeans-every-6-months guy. Probably a pain if you're a wash-you-jeans-every-week guy, but who does *that*!?

I've added about 3/4" to my non-APC jeans.

I wouldn't want to put myself in the situation where I have to stretch. It sounds like an unnecessary pain. If they don't make them in your inseam, I wouldn't bother.

+1. I wouldn't mind trying some rag and bone denim, but alas...Isn't 5ep also 32only?

R&B is available in 32x34 now at least, dunno about smaller waists. You can find 5EP in 34 also, if you look hard enough.

Are you sure about 5EP? Maybe I just haven't looked hard enough.

I stuck my foot in it way back, in a thread bitching out these two brands for not catering to the longer-legged; someone immediately tooled me and linked to some 34-length R&Bs (which I swear were new this season). However, damned if I can find their slimmer cuts in a 32x34 online anywhere.

I'd love to be proven wrong about these; I'd cop either, and maybe both, in a heartbeat.

Active Endeavors has the RB15 black in 32/24, also the Rb11 black and indigo in 32/34.

The RB15 Black Rigid could make for an awesome pair of black jeans.

5EP I haven't seen available as 32/34 anywhere, but I've seen people resell them here a couple times. I own a 32/32, and the inseam is perfect. Closer to a 33 than a 32.

My "34x32" 5EPs had a 33" inseam as measured.

Rag&Bone's 32x34's are new for this season. But no 34's below that waist size afaik

Thanks b; I actually saw those awhile back, but ruled them out because they look like one of the baggier cuts (even though the text says "slim leg" or whatever"). A quick search here assured me that they are, in fact, a slim cut. However, that same search revealed that we apparently don't like AE anymore; maybe I'll just call Mauro (which I probably should have done in the first place...)
