I know, I haven't purchased that many but I did buy two of them. One was a Cordovan and Russian calf boot and the other was a double monk. I'm just saying if I were to spend that much St Crispin's is were I'd be looking first at this point in time.

I think they are two different aesthetics but I agree at that price point I could more easily justify the premium. One of the reasons I prize EG of JL is the cost along with MTO options.

Agreed, they are a totally different aesthetics. Maybe there might be advantages for going EG top drawer which are worthwhile but I haven't found one yet. I've only purchased one shoe from JL and I have yet to really want for another at this point. So at this point in time for that price mentioned I would much rather get something from St Crispins.

Can we do a MTO for a GG boot? I am thinking Wigmore in burgundy with some sort of grain shaft with dainite sole?

I'd be in for Wigmore on TG73. How about vintage burgundy, burgundy highland grain shaft and dainite soles?

Or perhaps a Rioja hatch grain shaft?

Sorry, seems like there've been some sort of misunderstanding. I didn't inquire about the price difference, rather about the difference between the MTO options (Option 2/Top Drawer).

Edward Green MTO Service Option 1 with a surcharge of 1700 (1360 SEK ex VAT) offers the possibility to select sole, leather and lining for a wide range of models and designs. Delivery time about 12 weeks.

Edward Green MTO Service Option 2 with a surcharge of 2700 (2160 SEK ex VAT) offers the possibility of the above plus last change (when possible), different or additional toe medallion where possible. Different or additional punching where possible.

Top Drawer Shoes are 14800 SEK (11840 SEK ex VAT)
Top Drawer Hand Sewn styles are 15800 SEK (12640 SEK ex VAT)
Top Drawer Boots are 16800 SEK (13440 SEK ex VAT)
