Review of my Shell Cordovan Wallet

I was telling Sri about my Shell Cordovan Wallet from Brooks Brothers, and he asked me to post pictures of it. I decided I would do so and post a review. My wife gave this to me for our anniversary a few days ago. The quality of construction is very nice. It is handmade in Japan. I am not sure what company makes it, but I am very happy with the construction. I have used it for a few days, and the shell shows absolutely no sign of use. The interior calfskin is very soft. I have a feeling the interior will get stained from normal use, but that does not concern me. This is the same wallet as the Black Fleece wallet on BB, but the Black Fleece comes in different colors.

Thanks for this. I have also been considering getting a shell cordovan wallet, and this one from AE is my top contender. I haven't been to their store to handle it in person yet.

L, it looks fantastic. The #8 shell is going to develop a fantastic patina with the burnishing the wallet will get from regular everyday use. Thanks so much for sharing the pics here!

The wallet looks really good. BB does a great job with shell accessories. I now buy mostly all of my accessories from BB, especially items in shell.

It's my favorite color combo. The items are very well made and the cordovan should age very nicely.

I think the Japanese shell is sorely underrated.
