Looks like one of the wardrobe basics i'm short is a classic navy blue cableknit crewneck sweater, to be worn with a white or striped shirt underneath (and jeans, or with khakis, grey flannels, et al).

Recommendations? Surprisingly, I haven't found much in my online searches. Would like to invest a little more in this purchase to have a good product, and i don't mind ordering from england, etc. I would have thought paul stuart would have been ideal for this (and i could buy a swaine umbrella to be shipped along with it!), but they don't show one online and haven't visited a store in a long time.

thanks!

The Polo RL ones are surprisingly good and can be found on ebay or on sale pretty regularly. Not the best, but moths always seem to find my cashmere no matter what I do, so I wouldn't sink a lot into any one sweater personally.
