Planning on relocating to Lhasa, so I'm going to purge a bunch of stuff in the coming months. On the plus side I'm looking forward to dressing like a 45rpm model - sup tween.

I just think BB1 has reached ultimate wjk fanboyism to be able to say something like 'yeah, they're like Hanes tees in a pack, except these are 3 for $150'

I made the Hanes comparison since the wjk tees provide a more basic, less highly stylized look. The other tee brands being talked about (OV and Silent) provide a more goth ninja look-- i.e. slightly more drape, far longer overall length, and longer arms. For someone who's wearing Hanes now and says they want something better, the wjk tees make more sense than recommending Silent or OV.

lad musician u-necks?

Lad Musician u-necks are great. I have at least 10 of them. They cost about $120 each but they're definitely nicer than the $50 wjk basic tee. Their "Success Rocker" fabric is 100% cotton, but the fabric weave is so fine that they nearly feel like silk. In the darker colors they look more dressy than most tees, whereas Silent tees look downright schlubby by comparison.

Wish it was easier to find Man of Moods t-shirts below retail.

The fabric and cut on MofM tees is somewhat similar to Lad-- super smooth fabrics, shorter length, and a slightly dressier look. Many of their shirts are blends such as cotton/silk. Quality wise, these are the best value at around $60. I've frequently seen them on sale near the end of each season, but the color selection is rarely very good.

But I end up wearing my wjk tees the most since being the least stylized, they're the most versatile staple.

Hahaha, thanks, I appreciate it. I think that's a little outside of what I could reasonably pull off atm...

I'm on the lookout for this one, though...

It looks like one sold on SZ for like $300 not too long ago. I like it, but don't know if I'd be comfortable paying much more than that for what is likely a hastily-constructed piece of nylon.
:hide:

I like this variation as well:

...and've been hoping to see Synthese's jacket in action.

Are any of these (besides Silent/Vovk obviously) longer in the body than, say, American Apparel?

Anyone try Amazon Payments as an alternative to Paypal yet? It looks pretty promising, and everyone who has used it likes it from what I hear. Only complaint is that it's a little US centric or something. I'd like to just relegate Paypal solely for eBay, cause screw them.

I think it may be slightly cheaper than sending through Paypal as well. Here is a list of fees.

Are any/all of these machine washable? It gets extremely hot here in the summer (highs well over 100 fahrenheit / 38 celsius for days at a time) and getting a bit of sweat on my t-shirts is almost impossible in the summer with a mile walk to/from class. Would really appreciate some enlightenment in this regard or a pointer in the right direction for something that is higher quality and machine washable.

dbss is more of a rocker kind of vibe. really really skinny rocker. not that many posters have the body for dbss rofl

yaaa

Silent tees are nice if you can find them for cheap (I grabbed a few when gilt had them for thirty-something a pop). I really don't like OV though. Something about their clothes just scream 'fake'.

I always get a "norwegian black metal version of rick" vibe

It just seems like they popped out of nowhere and started producing the same copycat goth-ninja stuff that was already available, only shittier designs and construction.
