I don't dispute that it has a tag on it, but have you considered going to an RL store and seeing if that tag actually matches the jacket? Ebay sellers with fake watches do things like this all the time: fake Rolex in a real Rolex box. Maybe it's a used jacket which had an RLPL tag slapped on it. Not saying, just saying...
That said, refund regardless.
