I'm going to a family thing in the general vicinity of Palo Alto / Menlo Park / Portola Valley, etc. Saturday night is free. What's there to do (besides drive into San Fran, which seems like a hassle). I could go try to pick up middle aged gold-diggers at the Rosewood, I guess. Other than that, I'm out of ideas.

In all the time I lived near Palo Alto (just north) I don't think I ever went to Cupertino or Mountain View on purpose. For fun, we would drop acid and go hang out at fake lake.

Acid it is! Thanks . . . .

It looks like a trip to the city is in order. Pro: My cousin has an actual parking space (in a garage, no less) she isn't using. Con: It's in the Mission.

Went to high school in Palo Alto. It's a really nice environment to live in but it's pretty impossible to find something to do on a given night. Don't know how old you are, but if you were my age (19) there isn't much I could recommend. There's a stripclub in Sunnyvale that I went to on my 18th birthday.

Wow. Shallow Alto. You're stuck with Tony's Nut House or Gordon Biersch. Mo definitely want to hop that CalTrain and go where the mens wear teh jackets.

Is PA really that boring? What do all the Stanford kids who don't have startups do?

I am back, it was boring as advertised. People watching @ the Rosewood on Sand Hill was funny in a sort of "we're all doomed" kind of way. Mission district was more . . . naked then I remember. My foodie relatives took us to an ok Chinese place in the general vicinity of the Crowne Plaza (Su Hong?).

I was only there for 2 1/2 days. Seemed like plenty.
