Just stop man… I truly can't believe you feel there is a distinction that makes a difference here. Whether she went unconscious immediately as a result of assault (likely aggravated assault) or when she hit her head on the railing (caused of course by the assault) is what you think matters? How or when she went unconscious? Consciousness is neither a factor nor element of this particular crime.
It's the money, plain and simple.
If the latter it's not as bad and she only got knocked out because of unfortunate surroundings.
