Hey guys, I was hoping to get some great NYC shoe recommendations.

1000 is the most I can spend on a pair.

So far I have
C&J
Leffot ( although i'm not sure if i can get away with pricing )
Barker Black ( like the designs but heard the workmanship isnt the greatest?)

Any others would be great!

It's a short trip so I want to make due wtih the little time I have, and where I am from, there are no GOOD shoe stores at all.

- I like Barker Black but wouldn't recommend even with a grand to play with (with Leffot, you've got a shot at least).

- Graham Fowler is around the corner from Leffot and they have a few Tricker styles

- Ovadia & Sons has a couple but great selections

- Ralph Lauren is always a good choice (The Mansion uptown and about 3 downtown stores)

- Alden (Midtown)

- If you're in midtown near John Lobb, you might as well check out Church's.

- Barney's

- Nepenthes might still have that awesome McNairy/EG collab (pebble grain longwings and pebble grain wingtip boots)

- Black Fleece could be a hit or miss

Luckily, all of these stores are within striking distance of each other. Good luck and God speed.

I agree with all the listings above.
J. M. Weston is another. May be out of your price range but worth checking out.
Also, Citi Shoes is well within your range offering an array of options.
I hear they ordered an EG line scheduled to arrive around late August.

Most shoes at JM weston are in the $800-$1000 range. The classic styles (the 300 range) are a bit over $700 I think.

EDIT: Also if you into Alden shoes, check out Moulded Shoe

Thanks for the replies!

Alden I find way too bulky for me.

I more of a barker black kinda last, or slimmer c&j like the 341 or 348 i cant remember which one.

hmm.. never been to Ovadia & Sons, might check it out!!
