I'm considering hemming and tapering my 702s after a few months of light wear. I've come to the realization that uncuffed, my 702s are way too long and the leg opening is too wide for nice stacks. Now I just need to find a decent tailor in the Santa Clara area.

Ugh they're on a street called Santa Clara but a 5 hour drive away. I'll probably mail my jeans down to them I guess. Shouldn't be too expensive I hope.

Wore my 702s for the first time today in many months. They still look practically new, but autumn is finally here.

I think I've lost weight since last year... :(

Uhoh. I just found a hole in my crotch. Anyone have any suggestions on what to do? I live in Austin, TX if anyone has a tailor to recommend.

For my constant praise of momotaro's durability, word on crotch holes after "6 months" of wear continues to worry me.

Luckily I caught mine before it became too big. Had it repaired last week. I've had my 0701s for a year and a half. They were wearing at the crotch as well, but didn't wear through like the 0702s. Maybe it has something to do with the dyeing process for the 0702s? Construction quality seems to be the same? I think the fabrics are slightly different too.

Right - I'm coming at this as having had a 705 that I believe was almost bulletproof. There's just such a high number of people in here reporting crotch issues on the -02 as opposed to the 01 or 05.

****** cellphone pic with bad color balance but my 702s are starting to turn electric blue. I'm pretty surprised actually. I haven't worn them that often and I've never washed them.

Agreed. Temperatures here are the biggest detriment to frequent wear for me. Gotta get my time over the winter when it counts.
