Ugh- got my tie the other day. I regret not buying the entire selection; they're fantastic. I've never handled a seven-fold tie before. The knot this thing makes is beautiful.

Not the tie that I got from the drop (which is the same tie but in brown), but was able to buy this direct from Panta thanks to Ed's price matching! This is probably my favorite tie that I own. Thanks Ed!

Is anyone at all disappointed with their tie? I have no problem with the manufacture - it is well-made as one would expect from Panta. However, the colour is not what I expected at all. I have the same one as @Andy57 above, and his picture is pretty accurate. The colour was described as 'rust' and looked like I would expect rust to look as it did in the swatches - a deep orange-brown. However, as you can see in the picture, the tie is more like a salmon pink + brown, and I don't think I'd ever describe it as 'rust'. It's not a bad tie, it's just that I didn't want or expect a tie in this colour. I guess this is a lesson in not trusting the accuracy of colours online.

the field shots from @Churchill W @heldentenor seemed to be fairly consistent with the rust that i got; and w/i the brown tone that i'd expect for rust.

that's the problem with colours; unless everyone's monitors are calibrated the same way, there are bound to be discrepancies. Personally I won't describe my tie as salmon pink; if i see salmon like that (whether it's cooked just right, sashimi, or well overcoooked) it's going straight to the bin.

I hate to throw you under the bus, but on my monitor and in real life, my tie is, well, a deep orange-brown. Rust. And I'm very happy with it.

The rust was the tone I was expecting too. Does not remind me of salmon at all.
