If it was crap in the beginning it won't magically get better.

I ordered two of the Poplin shirts on sale. Really nice fit. For $18 I was very satisfied (actually went ahead and ordered two more.) The quality isn't anything to write home about (one step below JCrew, but better than the JCrew Factory stuff), but they will make for nice casual summer weight shirts. I'm a long and athletic 6'1 198 lb and got medium.

Also picked up one of the cotton coats that was on sale but I went ahead and took that back to sears. It somehow lands in between a coat, light jacket, and rain coat, and I didn't think it fit well at all. The shirts fit slim and were a little short in the sleeves (fine for a sport shirt, but it wouldn't have been acceptable for a dress shirt.) The coat in the same size was ridiculously big. Go figure..

Simmer down, tough guy. I was wondering if anybody else got them and what they think since there is a lot of positive reviews on the site and other fashion blogs.

Cordovan stripe oxford is now just $17 (they've rarely put their oxfords on sale). So is that naval officer shirt that got good reviews a couple pages back. Both tempting. Maybe the wool ties, too. For anything else I'm interested in, I'm gonna wait and see if they go down even further.

Anyone else notice that some items are listed as having 5 "sailboat" ratings, but when you click through they haven't been reviewed yet? That's kind of lame.

they have the 40% off coupon again. Check the regular lands ends. Quoted from my email:

"How to apply your promotion code for 40% off the highest-priced item plus Free Shipping with purchase of $75 or more:

At checkout‚ on the Billing Information page‚ go to the section labeled “Promotion Code” (above the credit card payment box) and manually enter the Promotion Code SANTA40 and PIN 4517 in the space provided."

hope this helps some last minute buying for gifts.
