This is the thread that strengthens your resolve to buy bespoke shoes...only this time out of spite.

I did not say that I "accepted significant departures" from the original scheule. I said that I "chose to accept schedule changes". I have not missed the point. I know the point only too well having experience with bespoke shoemakers. As I said earlier, it would appear, not knowing both sides of the story, that there is a failure to communicate and I stick by the story. This is a sad story for me because I had a good experience with Marcell and Itamar, even though there were changes in promised schedules. I communicated with Marcell and understood what was going on. I plan to commission another pair too.

Vox, not to be a jerk, but you are quoting posts incorrectly. You need to leave the "QUOTE" after the post you are quoting.
At one time when I was young and full of vinegar, I had a waiting list ...all with half down deposits...of over four years. ...I also do not ever refund monies...I want to be the customer's shoemaker not his banker.
You need to leave the "QUOTE" after the post you are quoting.
Reasonable consumers want an idea of when they'll get their purchase. Surely you dont tell customers "it could take a month, it could take 5 years" do you? If they ask, you might say something like "it could take a year or more depending on me getting the materials but certainly wont be done sooner than 6 months".
