Hello All,

As a job hunter I've been looking to upgrade my wardrobe and threads such as noodlers advice have helped me alot. While I drool over ties from Sam Hober, Drakes, etc, Im wondering if the stuff located here could be at least comparable somewhat. I've listed a number of stores which another Korean blogger has written about and was curious if anyone has had any experience with them. Some of them may not be up to SF level but others seem pretty good. If anyone has had any experience with them let the forum know.

http://www.andrewnlesley.com/index.html 앤드류 앤 레슬리 ( I actually have one of these and it feels better than your typical Tommy hilfiger kind of brand stuff)

http://www.tiefactory.co.kr/shop/main/index.php 타이팩토리

This was new http://www.openershop.co.kr/product/listing/?&product_group_m_idx=3&sale=Y&per_page=90 and they have TIEYOURTIE ties for less than $50 USD. Was told these are hard to find as there are only shops in Japan and Italy.

You should delete the blog link in your OP.

Anyway, I don't own any, but I've handled Frui (they make the house ties for BnT). Mannergram seem nice. But in all my time in Korea, I don't think I ever bought a tie made there. I know a few members here had mixed feelings regarding Frui.

The TYT look very fake.

Duly noted link removed. Thanks as always @Claghorn you really shine through. I was wondering what the quality was but as with many things here not sure if the promise is always true. I was wondering the price discrepancy given the TYT usually went for alot higher than the price mentioned. I 'll take your advice and not get them. Need to not believe the Korean version of SF so much

Any thoughts on Mannergram? I'm currently looking at the Scabal hand-rolled Zero Gravity tie but would like to get your (or anyone else's) thoughts on the ties before purchasing.

They will be nowhere near the quality of Hober or Cappelli, indeed they should not even appear as comparators.

You get what you pay for and I have to say that Korea is not known for sartorial elegance. Do you not have some reasonable shops nearby where you can select something in your budget?

Fake comes to mind and I hate to think of what they are made.

I have 2 Mannergram ties I picked up on sale a while back. I don't know that I would pay full price for them: at 80 dollars, I'd probably just buy something from Hober.

They don't strike me as bad ties though, and if they had something I really liked, I'd probably buy from them again.

For a tie of that price, I could get one from Hober. I was just wondering what the quality was like especially because they are charging a similar price.
