Hi All,

I have a pair of Allen Edmonds Verona II loafers. They are essentially a copy of the classic Gucci horse-bit loafer. The shoe is great, however, there are a number of reviews about how the sole and heel wears out fast. In my case, it's the heel. I've read numerous posts about how JR Rendenbach soles are the best and "wear like iron." Is this the case for their heel replacments as well? I have a cobbler local to me that can do it for $45, however, I'm unsure of its longevity vs other cheaper brands. Any insight would be appreciated. Thanks.

The leather portion of the top-lift is the same leather used on the JR soles.
The rubber is also a longer lasting rubber.
