I tend to go a bit longish with my khaki breaks. I like a slightly generous inseam (not floor dragging but long) because I sometimes like to do a slight crimp or even a half to full roll, especially if I'm wearing them with something like my JPs.

That said, I normally don't tailor my chinos or khakis.

+1, but if you have very long legs or very short legs you will need to get them tailored.

Was at the Grove Los Angeles store yesterday and saw the new sun faded oxfords. The website claims it's their "softest oxford ever" and they weren't kidding! Very nice soft feel to it but it's 2 ply cotton. If I want a bright colored button down for casual hot summer wear I think I'd rather go with linen. The color was maybe a bit too faded, but overall it was nice if you like the color and want something thicker than madras or linen.

Also, they were out of my size in the Secret Wash Redland Plaid and Meridian Madras shirts. The sales associate looked them up in the computer and stated there were less then 15 of each nationwide in size XL. If you want them you may want to drop the dime now. I took the last hillside Madras and he said I was luck because they sell like hotcakes. They had a few left in other sizes. They also had a pinkish colored madras that I don't see on the site. Not for me so I didn't buy it.

I do get where you're coming from, though. I just think we have to suck it up. They're always gonna use stylists, pins, lighting and models who look a lot better than us

So, I finally decided to order Belstaff Roadmaster this time... with that 20% off coupon.

Neiman Markus does not carry the bad boy any more. It looks like J. Crew is the only well-known store which carries the jacket in US (I checked some small on-line bike shops selling the Belstaff jackets, but not sure the those jackets are legit.) I cannot trust Ebay, cuz observed some Chineses tried to sell knock-offs there.
It looks like Belstaff tightly controls their inventory. so... the only option I have is to buy the jacket from J. Crew!

True. I used to think I had long legs but these days it seems like my inseam is average.

I know its not paticularly s/s, but i figured you guys would know more about them

Sorry, no info on how these specific loafers fit. Nor can I recall having seen it discussed here.

But Crew had a very similiar style in prior years which I tried in my usual size and they fit fine.

The part that gives me pause is the description "Italian leather upper .... Import." The ones I tried a couple of years ago were "Made in Italy." That makes me think even at $110 they're a little high (but maybe not).

How do J Crew flip flops fit. True to size or small? Should I get the same size that I wear in the Macalister boots? Thanks for any input.

Beautiful! Thanks for the heads up. They look great and exactly what I was remembered from the store. I want all 6 - now need to decide the size.

I just got the tangerine gingham in the mail in L and it is completely flying squirrel arms, and waist is at least 4 inches too big. It is the first L shirt I've gotten in a while but I've gained a bit of weight and M always feels short in the sleeves, and a bit tight in the shoulders. At least L has ample sleeves. Right now I am washing it in hot water which I doubt will help too much ... So off to the tailor tomorrow. :-(

ARGH ... SO FRUSTRATING ....

Also received the urban slim fit chinos in bowery, sun faded stanton (beautiful!!), and essential.
Very nice.

I wear a 7.5 and went with an 8 in the leather flip flops; they fit just fine.

I bought three pairs of the lightweight chinos last summer and would have picked up more if I had known about this

I get all my chinos hemmed to no break. Also, I would not recommend J Crew's hemming service when purchasing the essential chinos on the website. Out of a total of around ten pairs I ordered in a six month period, only one or two were actually hemmed to the correct length.
