Morning gents,

Just wondering if anyone recalls seeing a brown, brushed cotton two-button blazer/sports coat with pick-stitched lapels on J Crews website/catalogue recently ($199)?

I saw it on Saturday and went to buy it on Monday, only to discover it was no longer mentioned anywhere at all. I've checked the sale page, etc. It seems it sold out entirely or was removed for another reason, despite having been available for purchase for several weeks/months.

I've emailed J Crew but they can't help me unless I can give them an item name. They searched for each of the above keywords, but their database doesn't allow them to search descriptions, strictly item numbers and names. Any help in tracking this down would be greatly appreciated!

When everybody is waiting for the new stuff, I'm just reminded to pick up something in the final sale at a more resonable price.
Darn! I just can't believe that I missed the thinsulate peacoat just now. I put it in my shopping bag but wasn't sure about the size. So I wrote an email requesting measurments. Guess what happened when I came back to the site? My shopping bag was empty and the page indicated that my size was no longer available.
Hateful!
Anything I can do to make it up?

Should have just bought it and not worried about the size. That all ways happens. If you read back, you'll find a few posters made the same mistake as you. From my experience, if you wear a small than a small in almost anything will fit you well and make all your other small shirts, tees, polo's, button down, etc look proportionate and well fitted.

I should've given a try if not scared by the "no return or exchange" final sale policy.

This is now funny because someone posted about buying a small in the F/W 09 thread. He didn't say whether or not he bought online but if he did... That would be funny.

Dunno if people already know about this, but J.Crew has an item search hotline. The number is 1.877.280.2718.

Called them Monday about the herringbone shirt in XS (sold out online), got an email yesterday saying they found it, and another today confirming shipment. Got it for the sale price too. I have to say, J.Crew customer service is pretty excellent.

Really? I've been back and forth via email and I'm being told they can't do anything without an item name or number. I'll give the line a bell and see if they can dig it up.

Cheers.

^ I think you do need either an item name or number. The product page of what I was looking for was still online, so it wasn't a problem for me.
