Any recs for restaurants around the Golden Gate Park, all the surrounding areas that is.

My go to seems to be only a handful of places (or less):Burma Superstar, Han Il Kwan, CyBelle's Front Room

Don't remember others, I guess they didn't really stand out. No carne asada fries in the SF Bay Area eh?

GGP is pretty big so not sure what neighborhood you are thinking, but Pearl 1601, Outerlands, Hook Fish (casual fish place with amazing burritos), and Beit Rima are all great and near various parts of GGP.

Thanks for the recs

Went to Um.Ma yesterday after passing by Fiorella, which was packed as usual.

Um.Ma was a let down and I saw that coming after looking at their menu beforehand. Maybe it was better when Omega went before. Didn’t try their KBBQ, which was seated in the back and garnered a lot of guests. Reservations were through the roof. Funny enough when I walked in the entire front dining area was empty. We asked and it seemed like the cook said it was fine for us to sit there. Funny enough all subsequent parties were told wait time was 45mins to 1 hour. We were the only table the entire time we ate there, which was the highlight lol. It was quiet and no one bothered us.

The bibimbap was soupy for some reason 😢. Purple rice was too glutinous or veggies were not dried enough? Seafood pancake also lacked all the garnishing and batter was doughy. The banchan was only 4 dishes total compared to what we usually have, at least double that. The chicken wings were okay. Everything was flavorful save for the seafood pancake. But the texture was not what I was expecting. Maybe ownership changed or something. I’ll probably stick with Han Il Kwan for something more authentic. We were actually going to go there in the first place but parking was horrendous so we left. Regrats

there's also a (newish) Tartine in Inner Sunset, also Hook Fish is 💯

Hook Fish is one of the only restaurants in SF I plan an entire outing around. Watching the sunset on Ocean Beach (on one of the <10 days a year it's not frigid) + Hook Fish burritos is the best.

I’ve had the recent misfortune of visiting two Macy’s stores. They are depressing AF. Macy’s is at the root Macy’s decline, not San Francisco’s supposed decline
