Good post, @troika. The only thing I disagree with is that, officially fwiw, the unhoused population has been steadily increasing, at least according to this in-depth SF Chronicle reported that came out yesterday:

I don't like SF being used as a right-wing talking point, but the increase seems consonant with my experience and that of some friends who work with homeless people and folks in SROs.
The homeless industrial complex is booming in SF.

Oh well, SF residents happily voted for this so tbh they deserve it

I wondered how a 30 yo chip manufacturer could exist here without me hearing of it. The fab is in Taiwan🥺

I worked on a fab for NEC in Roseville Ca. In the late 80s I think. They said they were for phones. I said WTF they need chips for phones?

First mobile phone I ever saw someone using was a NEC 9A in maybe 1987 or 1988.

Going from sunny and warm East Bay to SF when visiting the lady friend sucks. SF sucks. And windy. The overcast was a buzz kill.

Walking through the Presidio, Letterman campus, and Palace of Fine Arts was very nice however. Will revisit this locations specifically and picnic. Particularly the Letterman campus and park, so quiet and peaceful. Unsure why are not more people in that area and choose to visit the Palace of Fine Arts instead. Across from the Palace of Fine Arts e.g., Crissy Field sucked ass.

It's no wonder the gf wants to move to the South Bay

Is Sessions bar any good? What about Colibri Mexican Bistro? Worth the money?

Walk the wife east to Fort Mason and go to Radhaus. Better beer, better view, better scene. Its really over-priced but the rent ain't cheap.
