Finished my first 10k race ever! 'gross' time was 47:07 but I believe I started some 30 seconds later. Either way, it was below my pr of 49:53

today:
4.0 miles in the afternoon in 24:36 (6:31, 6:04, 6:03, 5:58). It was pretty warm out, my legs felt a little heavy/sluggish, and i ran a pretty hilly route (last mile started off with a super steep 150-200m hill), so it felt like a pretty hard effort even though it wasnt a super fast run for me.

then ran 9.0 miles tonight in 59:40. was planning on running about 5 or 6 but once i got going i felt really good and kept going. Started out kinda easy and ran the first 5 in 34:04, then picked it up a little and ran the last 4 in 25:36.

Way to go mylesmyles thats smokin . . .
10k tonight - dealing with a blister that got infected is a pain **********. Lesson learned - apply rubbing alcohol and neosporine early and often.
Going to treat the long beach half this weekend like a training run. shootin for sub 1:35
