You need one with long sleeves, buttoned cuffs and a proper collar that stands up, but it can certainly work.

Taking a nice pic with your hands in your pockets works wonders as well, for some reason people interpret that pose as you pulling it off. I guess it shows confidence. It's part of the reason why the 'can I pull this off' conversations are useless. It's not that some people can magically wear things that others can't, it all comes down to confidence, which is hard to show in a fit picture.

Yep, bought it from exquisite trimmings last year. The open weave and light lining makes it a wonderful warm weather tie.

It's interesting that the pattern was made in a "square" orientation whereas mine were made in a "diamond" shaped orientation.

I just received the ties I ordered a couple months ago.

I agree and disagree!

I hate the hands in jacket pockets look, elbows out, do the funky chicken while pulling the line of the jacket every which way.

But I totally agree with the 'pulling it off' bit. "That's a loud madras jacket, but you are pulling it off" - what in the hell does that mean? You're gonna wear a loud madras jacket then shuffle along looking at your shoes all day? If you have the balls to wear a loud jacket in the first place then surely you already have the confidence to 'pull it off'!
