I have this shoe--definitely 'country' with a wider/more rounded last but still fits TTS in my opinion. I like it for more casual outfits in cooler weather.

Hey guys,

I've recently moved to the UK and saw a pair of Church's Prembrey Loafers for well under $300 pounds at the Bicester Village outlet. Quality/value for money wise am I better with these or waiting to buy a pair o similar Made in England/Spain which would only be around 25-50 pounds more and include shoe trees/possibly a matching belt?

I own a pair of Grassmere, and yes they are made by Cheaney. I believe that Cheaney is one of the best investments, excelente finish, durable shoes. And Herrings service is on top. The metal eyelets make them a tad strange but is part of the fun.

Is Herring still shipping to US? I'm looking at Loake Kempton chukka but there is a disclaimer stating that they no longer ship to US.
It's been awhile since I ordered from them. Change in export laws?

Herring still ships to US but NOT the Loake brand.

Loake no longer allows UK retailers to ship to the US. East Dane sells some of the Loake models for those of us in the US, including the Kempton. However, some of the Herring house brand shoes are made by Loake, and these can be shipped to the US.

I was going to recommend robinsonsshoes.com in Ireland but I see they've stopped carrying Loake too. I used to get my Loakes from them with free shipping.
