Good exercise site - anyone know one?

I've been going to the gym pretty regularly lately, and I'm starting to get bored. I know I shoudl change up my routine. I'd hire a trainer, but they're so expensive, I'd rather read about exercises online.

I've read Mens Health. Does anyone know another good site?

I would actually suggest getting a couple sessions with a personal trainer. I had a fully liscened and accredited trainer for $40 CAN for one hour sessions once a week when I first started out. She was considered one of the tops in her field and is an endurance athelete as well. She was amazing, she showed me how to complete exercises properly, designed a program specifically for my needs, and pushed me a lot. I know there are tons of trainers out there who charge a lot less. The benefits far outweigh the costs IMO.

Find a trainer who uses "core & balance" training.

Or buy a "Bosu" ball, and stand on it (flat side up) while you do all your ordinary workout (squats, dumbell work, upper body machines, etc). The last thing you will be is "bored".

My trainer is producing his own video, but it's not yet available.

But to answer your question, there are a lot of websites regarding this type of training.

http://www.elitefitness.com is the one I look at occasionally. Good info regarding all kinds of exercise although I focus on the bodybuilding forums. Personally if going for size and strength I would not consider core training. I'm sure it has its merits as to why it is an effective system. The folks at my gym that insist on core training are always the ones who have shown absolutely no muscular development or conditioning. In fact, 1 particular guy insists on doing tricep pressdowns standing on 1 foot while that foot is on a rubber disk. He hasn't change a single bit in the 4 years he has been there. I suppose if he is happy that is all that counts. Regards, CT

depends on his objectives ~ cardio fitness, trimming down, buffing up, cutting up, etc. I personally think that a combination is best, but he said that he was getting bored. I just said that he wouldn't be bored adding a bosu ball to his regular workout, and it adds almost twice the calorie burning to an average workout.
