Now now, behave yourself.

I don't think you'll find anybody sane, even here on SF, who would argue against the VALUE of AE.

It's their styling that's a bit lacking.

I think the new CEO of Allen Edmonds posts on AAAC also, and recently there was a thread about someone's personal tour through the place for a customized pair of shoe.

I wish AE all the best. I do not wish to see an American tradition goes down the drain.

Trashing the aesthetics of AE and proposing in it's place Alden is akin to trashing the health benefits of cigarettes and proposing in its place a good dose of Meth.

It is a sad comment on the state of human beings today that this thread is already far longer than the thread on AAAC.

Can't we all just be people loving people?

Hmmm...I guess that didn't come out right. I wish that this forvm had an edit feature.

Well, anyway, I've read that Allen Edmonds is moving to a 400 degree welt. This is more degrees than 360, and really extends their lead over those makers with fewer degrees in their welting.

Can someone confirm or deny?

Either that or a comment on the traffic at AAAC.

^ Love it, Mark.

This part of the script is actually reminiscent of my morning today:

David: I do not, for one, think that the problem was that the
\t band was down. I think that the problem may have been...
\t that there was a Stonehenge monument on the stage that was
\t in danger of being crushed by a dwarf. Alright?
\t That tended to understate the hugeness of the object.

Ian: I really think you're just making a much too big thing out
\t of it.

Derek: Making a big thing out of it would've been a good idea.

Ian: Nigel gave me a drawing that said eighteen inches.
\t Alright?

David: I know he did, and that's what I'm talking about.

Ian: Now, whether he knows the difference between feet and
\t inches is not my problem. I do what I'm told.

David: But you're not as confused as him are you? I mean it's not
\t your job to be as confused as Nigel is.

Ian: It's my job to do what I'm asked to do by the creative
\t element of this band. And that's what I did. C'mon...

Jeanine: The audience were laughing.

Ian: So it became a comedy number.

David: Yes it did! Yes it ******* well did, and it was not
\t pleasant to be part of the comedy on stage. Backstage,
\t perhaps, it was very amusing.

Derek: Maybe we just fix the choreography. Keep the dwarf clear.

David: What do you mean?

Derek: So he won't trod upon it.

David: I don't think that's the issue. I think it's symptomatic
\t that maybe you're taking on more than you can...uh...uh..
\t uh...handle.

Jeanine: It's not exactly the first time you've messed things up
\t is it?

I am just delighted that mafoofan is using his new Top Five stature to do charity work in underdeveloped areas of the Internet.

I've smelled this smell before...Nobel Prize.

Excellent. Is it possible to cooridinate the shoe spinning with the spinning rims on the wearer's car?
