Pants cut much wider on Fabio would look incorrect with his jacket. At first glace, it is easy especially in the US to look and say that's too narrow, but upon looking at it over time, it's quite a studied look.

Then again, the US is hardly the leader in elegant, good looking menswear.lol

I agree the jacket is too tight. I like the look of the pants. I think with narrow pants you can afford to make the length a little shorter.

Just for reference, this is a jacket and pants that are too tight. Frankly, they look like crap to me. It is kind of amusing to read all of the gushing comments by Sartorialist readers:

I just purchased a really nice Borrelli suit at Filene's Basement. Brought it by Rizzo Tailoring in Harvard Square. Joe Caluti recognized it as a Borrelli without seeing the labels (apparently the chest pocket is a very distinctive shape). In deciding a hem length he told me that it is actually the traditional Neopolitan style to have the very narrow tapered trousers hemmed longer, rather than shorter. After looking at it both ways in the mirror, I would tend to agree.

I think that Naturlaut has it right, although I doubt the suit is RTW. Remember, Fabio is a pretty big guy through the chest, so the jacket is not going to be tiny. Nobody who dresses well wears that awful tiny jacket stuff anyway. THe lapels are a little wide for my taste, but not terrible.

I disagree, I think the pleated pants/trousers that he's wearing are spot on. It's a studied look, why would he make a sartorial mistake?
Yes, the trousers could have been a quarter of an inch further down to elongate his legs and not as narrow on the ankle BUT this is HIS style. This is part of his idiosyncratic style and it gives him a less formal/conservative look.
