I’m with bry2000, I’d personally go with M but that’s because I prefer fatigues to have a bit of room in them. Trust your gut. I also see no issue with the cuffs- wear them how you want.

I'd say M all the way. I'd personally given up on fatigues as the design of the pockets doesn't really seem to work for me, but that fit makes me wanna grab a pair!

I went with the medium, and I do plan on wearing them how I want haha.

Thanks. My thought was either keep the small and cold wash and hang dry or hot wash and dry the mediums and hope for shrinkage

Do they have the internal drawstrings like the fatigues (and a lot of their other pants, too) from the last couple seasons?

I think I'm similar to you in sizing. I could do a S but I prefer the M with the waist drawstring cinched tighter. It's come in handy after big meals and with some pandemic weight gain.

Hmm. Still think I'd go with the M. Higher rise pants that are tight in the waist are no bueno bc they dig into your gut when you sit down.

If after a a few hot washes and hot dry's you still feel they're too big, have a tailor remove the belt loops on either side of the back of the trouser, sew in 1" darts in the waistband and resew the belt loops back over the darts.

For anyone considering the Sebagos: as @shopcanoeclub said, size up half if not a full size if you plan to wear them with thiccy socks.
