Anyone know a store in the US that carries size 39?
I'm about to get some from Tres Bien but if they don't fit I'm gonna be fucked.
Plus it looks like they use FedEx so I'll probably get hit with customs huh...

Edit: oh that and I misread that they only did exchanges.

Just got my white Achilles Elastics from Cali Roots, got them 6 days after I ordered them without any duty or customs fees. Funny I got them sooner than a pair of Timberland Boot Company chukkas that I ordered from Nordstrom on 7/16.

Ya jet I read yours and a few others experiences with them shortly after I placed my order and was kind of worried about what to expect but I had absolutely no problems. Seems like a couple others who've ordered recently have had good experiences as well, think they may have just gotten their act together? Hell for the price I payed I'd definitely shop with them again....

I think you just got super lucky you didn't get hit with customs and/or didn't have to deal with them. If you actually have to contact them about anything they'll treat you like a nuisance. I actually ended up returning my shoes once I received them just because they pissed my off so badly before they arrived.

Also, they're just pocketing the VAT, which is their prerogative, but they told me it was basically because they don't feel like updating their website.

I will re-iterate my terrible experience with Caliroots. Once the package is paid for they could give two sh*ts about you. On another note, order from aplace wasn't that great either. Again, horrible email correspondence.
