I just walked into BR and asked if they had any Sahara boots. The lady took out a catalog and I confirmed which ones I wanted. She then looked them up and called the store with my size in stock to be shipped to my house. Kinda easy. Fifteen bucks and five for shipping.

For the record one of their stores in Atlanta has two pair of size 9 left.

So does anyone else find the BR desert boots huge? I just got my 10's in the mail (10 in Jack Purcells) and they are fine width wise, but very very long. I just ordered another pair, 9.5s, hoping for better results. These are the beeswax btw.

I sized down a whole size on my boots (same as my Clarks size), but they're the leather beeswax so they'll stretch. For suede I'd only go 1/2 a size down.

Though these are the Saharas, not the Clarks, the before picture looked similar enough previous to my own application of mink oil. I posted a picture of these before, but these are better, more educational. I put mink oil on them about a month ago and have worn them heartily since.

They look a bit better when my foot is in them, giving the leather some shape. I think big guys like me (around 200lbs) should look for leather soled desert boots, crepe wears down really fast when it has all the weight on it. Maybe when I wear these completely out, I'll take them to a cobbler and see what he can do in the way of putting on a more durable, cleaner looking sole. Gluing on.

Just got my first pair of the Desert Boots in black, they did not have brown, I got them for 32.00 dollars at a clarks store in the outlet mall in Las Vegas.

I saw a pair of red BR Sahara's in the mall today and nearly wet myself, until I noticed that they only had 11.5 and 12's in stock and I need a 9 or 9.5.

So I got my 9.5's and they are slim but I imagine they'll stretch out more. Length is much better.

I also have the pair of 10's that I only tried on, if anyone wants?
