I had heard that they were planning another one a couple years back, but once the economy took a beating, they decided to sit quiet.

I have never had a problem with Canada Post, but Customs is a *****......
Stuff will sit there for no more than an hour, and than 3 weeks another time. It`s ridiculous.

I had a package sent to me via HK SpeedPost which was subsequently passed off to Canada Post. Package arrived in 5 days, exactly as quoted - I wish all deliveries were like that. Meanwhile, my camera I ordered online from Futureshop which came from BC took 9 days.

I had this 'attempted delivery when somebody was home all day' happen to me a few times.
Takes about 50 minutes round-trip to walk to the local post office, and they rarely have parking. (I guess I should take the bus..)

When it seemed like I wasn't getting any mail at all for days, I complained over the phone. Some supervisor actually took the time to call me back a week later, explaining to me what he investigated, what he found out, etc; apparently there was some temp working the route during that period.

Anyway, what I'm trying to say is 1) yes, CP sucks sometimes, but I'm not sure if more so than other services. 2) you can complain, and somebody will actually take you seriously and act upon your complaint.

Can anybody get on their website right now? It seems to be down.

A quick Google search reveals that this has been happening a lot lately. What's up with that? You're a first-world country Canada, get your act together.

I've hated Canada Post since I was a little kid. I have a November birthday, and those pricks would go on strike at that time of year on the regular back in the 70s when I was waiting for gifts to arrive from my Aunt.

Dammit! The delivery guy has stopped even trying to deliver packages to my house - he just slips that notification in the super-mailbox saying "no answer" even though someone is home all day waiting for the package!
