Hello guys!

Some time ago I made a post asking about what brand's of clothes you guys recommend me to wear for a specific look that I wanted and I started making my first purchases and started to understand atleast the very first basics of the clothes and now I do pay attention to alot of details that I have never paid attention to.

I want to start by buying some Italian top quality clothes, and so I wanted to start by the very basic by buying a Turtleneck sweater and so I started my research and found this one:

https://www.farfetch.com/es/shoppin...hmere-item-12167127.aspx?storeid=10064&from=1

My question is, is this a good buy? I know this is alot about personal preference, yes I do like the turtleneck sweater but is it worth paying this ammount or there is better Italian brands when it comes to turtleneck sweater quality/price? what are your recommendations? I want to be very very picky about what expensive clothes ill buy from now on as I want to make sure that I love it and get top quality when buying something so expensive. So yeah what are your recommendations, is there any other kind of brands that are better for turtleneck sweaters? also this one that I linked is currently 40% off right now so it is like 650 USD or so, should I wait for even a better sale price? or that is near impossible, please advice me, I want to keep learning.

Thanks alot everybody, I appreciate each reply and advice.

I'm not a fan of turtlenecks but I'm just a person that doesn't like sweaters in general.

Also take a look at Loro Piana too, besides Brunello Cucinelli. I think Drumohr is also Italian. But Italian is pointless...also take a look at Scottish cashmere like Johnstons of Elgin.

Hi Quyy1, getting into high quality clothing is just as much about finding quality attire as well as developing an feel for the approximate right price for a garment (which is a careful balance between material value, brand value and exclusivity of the item, e.g. a style/design that is unique). Whilst there's a great amount of variety in terms of cashmere quality out there (and I'll venture to say the majority is crap these days as the demand exceeds the supply if cashmere goats would be left long enough in peace to grow a sufficiently long pelt for the woven wool not to pill as much as 99% of the sweaters these days), my personal opinion is that a decent quality cashmere turtleneck shouldn't cost more than 300 bucks and quite a few good ones can be had for much less. Check out N.Peal from the UK for quality cashmere.

Best regards, André
