Its probably the pot still. Them things do weird things to whiskey (see Willet and anything Irish)

I'd like to see you in more of a Eagle Rare, Makers or Ben Holliday. Maybe even a Frey Ranch if you are feeling saucy. Hell, maybe even give the Dickel a try (BiB).

to be fair, I don't know how good the Atlanta bourbon scene is - is Eagle easy to find?

@Omega Male see if your local place has Russells' Reserve store picks (or, failing that, Kentucky spirit), Elijah Craig barrel proof (pretty much any), Knob Creek picks (or, since you're a baller, the 15/18). Bookers is always solid, Bardstown Discovery #7/8/11 are great.

Yeah, I'm not big on Knob Creek, but WT Rare Breed is a good one. I've also found Russells to be a bit boring, but EC Barrel proof is another good one to find.

LOL Omega! WT Rare Breed is a sure thing. Agree with both Vindi and JC’s other suggestions. I’d also throw OF’s 1920 in the mix too. If you come across the latest Weller 12 release at a decent price, don’t hesitate.

Despite @Omega Male hang ups on the source of this, it is quite delicious. They also have a BiB version, but this is very good.
