The jacket is not long. I doubt any of you would say so if you saw it IRL. It is 33.5", on a body that is 76.5". I think the mirror pose makes it look long, indeed makes all my stuff look long, because everyone always says that, and yet every tailor save one makes pretty much the same length for me. It never looks long to me in a full length mirror.

The skirt kicks on the right side because I am lifting my arm. That said, it is probably more full than a RTW or bespoke Napoli coat.

I have a good color calibrated monitor and I still can't see any of those details. Can you please post pics in better lighting - and please, ask someone else to take the pics.

This one is for hot weather and more casual settings. We shall see how hot I can bear it. It's technically heavier than the fresco, but hopefully cooler.

No mystery. I'm too smalltimer to use one of the big guys. Chan won't take cloth, so I'm going to experiment with Gordon Yao. I haven't really seen much of his stuff around here. He visits D.C., so I thought I'd give him a try. I actually wish I had gotten my act together sooner, as I would have seriously considered Solito, whose prices seemed pretty reasonable to me.

RJ was right!!!!!

When you think of this as a DB BlazerSuit, are you thinking patch outpockets?

Some of us are born DB's, some become DB's, and some have DB's thrust upon them.

Either 4x2 3 patch, or 6x2 with breast welt. Either way, hip patch for sure.

A&S charges 1510 GBP to make a jacket with a customer's cloth. The various expats charge a little less.

This is a really handsome and versatile suit, and the choice of buttons seems excellent and not at all banal to me.

I tried to do a summer Blazersuit of sorts last year (3-roll-2.5, dark royal blue, quite matte and not too slubby Shantung silk, black/grey MoP buttons), but I'm not sure it really works because I didn't get patch pockets. Also, the silk works with linen trousers and chinos, but not with (say) grey fresco trousers. I need to find something with more surface interest, like a very light flannel.

Looks very nice but I really can't wait for the DB version. That will be next level.

What kind of cloth is that? I can't quite tell from the photo.
