Best TV show theme song?

I think it doesn't get much better than The Wire. See below:

WKRP in Cincinnati
Jeeves and Wooster
The X Files
The Twilight Zone
Fat Albert
The Flintstones
Bewitched
The Batman Theme
I Love Lucy

These are not necessarily my favorite TV shows. They are just some of my favorite TV themes of all time. I've also noticed newer TV shows seem to be dispensing with the idea of a theme song.

Wow- you reminded me of some excellent ones. X-files is sort of good in a weird way, but I wouldn't put it on my Ipod. I like the Jeeves and Wooster one a lot.

I agree with The Wire and J&W. I like the jazzy Cosby theme song and how could we leave out The Jefferson's.
