Looking to y'all iGents for advice regarding wallets. My old Christian Kimber number is starting to fray at the compartment edges and I'm considering a replacement.

Ideally I'd need something in cardholder dimensions. 4-6 card compartments with one slot for cash. As thin & cleanly detailed as possible. And yes, I'll even take suggestions for those pesky "fashun" brands.

How much do you want to spend? https://therake.com/ettinger-black-and-orange-visiting-card-case-sterling-collection.html

I've been using two BB one in Cordovan made in Japan. And a day to day French Calf made in Italy.

I've been admiring the wallets from Chester Mox...

I came here to recommend CM. I've got a few items from them, and I love my bifold wallet that I use on weekends, I plan on getting a slim wallet made up just as SE described. I have one from Berg and Berg, which for the price is unbeatable. They have some up at the moment, but I'm not a fan of the current leather options.

I've had two Ettinger wallets. I really don't like paying close to $300 for a synthetically lined wallet.

Definitely a contender when my Bellroy dies. I like the slimness of the Bellroy but the leather quality is pretty lacklustre. For a local option, Bas & Lokes has some wallets. I have a few of their watch straps and they are very nice.

I just purchased my third wallet (card holder actually) from Tanner Goods. Great quality but I have a tendency to lose them. They also now offer cordovan options.

As we approach the QLD summer I'm beginning to prepare for the inevitable damage to my long sleeve shirts thanks to my sweaty dad-bod. I've tried undershirts, different deoderants, etc and the results are the same, neither I nor my wardrobe suit this climate.

Is there anywhere to get decent MTM shirts in Brisbane? Travelling less for work these days, so not able to pop down to Sydney/Melbourne anymore for fittings. I tried the cloakroom and found their fit to be a bit skinny for my taste. Tried Institchu more recently when they came to our office to fit another guy and I figured why not, again, same issue. They look good if I stand up perfectly straight or if I rake thin, but they feel a half size too small. Fine for occasional wear, not the right fit for something I'm going to wear 8-10 hours a day, 5 days a week.

Price wise I'm hoping for max $150-$200 a shirt.

I find this thread to be very eastern states based so I don't really chime in too often. Been into street wear for the last few years but starting to get back into classic menswear now that street wear is over-hyped.

It is very eastern focused, very true. Spose it reflects the people on here.

Anyway, always good to see people pop back.

I try to do my non-eastern bit but there is not too much to add sometimes apart from shilling leatherworks which I have had a good recent experience with (also got a nice wallet there and my be worth checking out).

We don't have too many places to write home/blog about comparatively. I do tend to buy clothes went I am interstate if I don't get them shipped.

On a related note, anyone know when the Martin Place Suit supply store is opening? My work's head office is near there and would like to pop in when I next have the chance. All I have found so far is "opening 2017".

I emailed them last month and they responded with the following.

Would be really interesting to see how they price their MTM range... I guess Winter is Coming for SuitShop considering that both companies use Da Yang Group Manufacturing in China (i.e. same quality product).
