Is there any way to restore linen pants to their former texture?
They were ironed at the cleaner and now they're really stiff and drape poorly, like the weave is tighter.

did they "clean" them also? I usually only take things that are absolutely necessary to the cleaner.... linen pants is not one of them IMO. If you just wash by hand or gentle cycle with Woolite, hang to air dry, iron and then wear them around a bit they should come back. A good steam press the second time should have them back to normal... let's hope so! Good luck.

They did clean them as well. I had slipped in a pile of cake and vomit, so I figured a professional cleaning was in order. I'll try hand washing them next time and see how they turn out. Thanks for the suggestions.

omg... sounds like either a very GOOD or very TERRIBLE birthday party! ya it's probably just the dry clean combined with the pressing and whatever other **** they do. try what I said and give 'em a test drive... that should restore the "naturalness" that is desired of linen.

Yea or Nay on the following:
Similar shoes as in picture, except with white rubber sole, unlined, for summer with khakis/jeans.
400

I'm afraid I'd have to go with the "nay"...sorry...maybe it is just me though.

I'm sure this sounds weird coming from me, but when it comes to offbeat on an item, pick one, maybe two things.
Broguing? a bit unusual.
Suede? a little different.
Green? definitely out of the ordinary.

one abnormal thing will make you stand out a bit, two will make you really noticeable, three will make you look plain weird imho.

Neither suede nor broguing are the least bit unusual.

Maybe not if you're in NYC, LA or milan.

You'd be hard pressed to find 1 in 5 guys wearing suede or brogued oxfords outside of a major metropolitan area. Don't get me wrong, I like both. They're just not what your average 9-5 office worker is rocking on any given tuesday.
