Benny and the Jets came on while I was driving my daughter to school this morning and it instantly reminded me of this performance on Soul Train with Sir Elton in his kicka55 green suit.



FWIW though, Philadelphia Freedom is my favorite of that Elton John Soul Train set:

Do you like Skinny Puppy? Their early work was a little too EDM for my tastes, but when Cleanse Fold & Manipulate came out in '87, I think they really came into their own, commercially and artistically. Their whole discography has a diverse, innovative sound, and an ever-evolving style that really gives the albums a big boost. They've been compared to other industrial bands, but I think Skinny Puppy has a far more darker, hard-hitting sound. In 1990 Skinny Puppy released this, Too Dark Park, their most accomplished album. I think their undisputed masterpiece is ‘Spasmolytic’, a song so dark, most people probably don't listen to the lyrics. But they should, because it's not just about the ugliness of opiate withdrawal, it's also a personal statement about the band's singer Nivek Ogre.
