Got them today. Apologies for camera phone shots - couldn't find a proper one.

I called CS about mine and they are scheduled to go into production next week. Disappointed they did not arrive on the promised 26th but I'm excited to get them nonetheless.

Looks like everyone is getting their shoes today! Here are mine:

1st: Cambridge in burgundy shell cordovan

and 2nd, Daltons in walnut shell cordovan (check out the reverse welt!)

I've been trying to get my hands on a pair of Cambridges for about 9 months... finally the sale came up at the right time (right around my birthday). And... the Daltons were just too good a deal to pass up.

Also, I would be remiss if I didn't mention that my favorite shoe guy, and my friend, Brian from the Jeffersonville outlet store, took the time to come in on his day off, for me to stop by and pick up my shoes, just to make sure I was completely happy with them. We went through 3 different pair of Daltons so I could pick the best ones of the bunch, and I was obviously blown away at how the Cambridges looked right out of the box (though he did say he had a backup pair if those didn't work).

I can't say enough about the level of service I have received over the past 18 or so months, since I started buying AE shoes from Brian and his team.

I actually passed on a third pair of shoes, a pair of Strands in what appears to be the truffle (or Cappuccino) shell cordovan seconds. They are in size 12D, and are on sale for $299. Brian has them if anyone is interested (see below for #). They looked good to my eye, but I just couldn't justify getting 3 pair of new shells the same month taxes are due and I have to put a deposit down to build our new house.

For those interested, or if any of you ever are going up 71 between Cincinnati and Columbus, Brian's number is 740-948-9033.

Hey guys! Got all my AE shoes today! WOW!!!!!! I think I'm going to return the black Cliftons as the reason they are seconds is because the entire upper of the left foot is misaligned and doesn't look correct when worn. The right fits great but the left, not so much. So far all the shoes fit my feet really well. My questions is taking into account that I'm going to return the black Cliftons what should I get instead? I certainly don't need anymore cap toes and I'm not a big fan of slip ons (plus I have a decent pair of black slip ons). I was thinking maybe a wing tip? I really like the burgundy cordovan so maybe some more of that? Anyway any suggestions would be greatly appreciated both for style and color.

Pics (I apologize for the horrendous phone pictures):

Sanfords (already owned these) on top, Cliftons below:

Walnut strands (left), Chili Van Ness (middle), and Burgundy Cordovan Bradleys (right):

Nice Haul! I love all your choices. If you are looking for another cordovan pair of shoes, look at the Macneil (same 7 last as your Sanfords) or Cambridge (same #5 last as your Strands), or the Leeds (not a wingtip, but same #1 last as your Bradleys).

Congrats bucksfan! It sure is a nice haul. Thanks again for the heads up from your local AE outlet. You've made many of very happy (and a few dollars poorer).

Holyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy $HIT :bounce2::worship::bounce2::worship::bounce2::worship::bounce2::worship::bounce2::worship::bounce2::worship::bounce2::worship: those cambridges are nice!

They would have been mine but I already have the McAllister in burgundy. That shoe looks .......speachless....

I opted for the Cordovan Brown Strand... I also tossed in the Cordovan Burgundy Randolph. They are sitting at UPS as I wasn't home when they attempted to deliver. I will have them both tomorrow. Tick-Tock-Tick-Tock

I am very content with my brown shell cordovan Strands and burgundy shell cordovan Cambridges. They will be a nice "in-betweeners" from my sleeker Northampton shoes and casual Alden shell cordovan collection.
