Alden in Narrow Sizing?

Sucks. I have a narrow foot (A/B) in most lasts from Alden, and I personally find it damn annoying that to order a different size other than a C/D, they want me to pay $165 extra for a special size.

Anyone found any retailer online for Alden that has some narrow sizes?

I'm sure other people have this problem, as I can't have the only narrow foot in the world. What gives on why they do this?

^You shouldn't have to pay extra for narrow sizes. I've ordered narrow width Aldens from a couple of different sellers (including Tom at Leather Soul Hawaii), and neither charged me any extra. Both times they had to order the shoes from Alden (no lag time, Alden had them in stock).

Same with me. I'm a narrow width and while I have had to special order Alden's (I've also ordered from Leather Soul Hawaii), I have not paid a premium for the sizing.

Tom has also told me that with standard models even if a particular width is not a stock item that they can be ordered with no up charge (provided that width is available in that particular last). It would take several months to get it, of course, and I'm sure most would want some sort of deposit for such an order.

I've had the same experience. I ordered the (narrow) shoes from the store, which were shipped directly from Alden (typically with no wait). No upcharge for the "special" size.
