I have really done a killing on the ties in my local location. I have Talbot Best of Class in a few staple colors, and some Zenga ties that I snagged there as well. One that gets overlooked is the 1X platinum ties, the silk is pretty nice and they are made in Italy (for what that is worth). Some of them are a bit more "fun" than say my Brooks Bros or JPress ties but they would be great for a wedding or non-business deal/trial type day. They do have one black pindot model that I am eying up though. I think tomorrow I am going to go for it. They actually make a pretty nice knot too. Almost no one in my area knows how to dress, at least in the SF MC sense of the word so I always kill it in The Rack, mostly based on what I have learned in this forum. I have noticed the three Nordys that I shop in have far less HF stuff as well. It is distressing but you can still order it if you want and their sales staff is the most helpful in the business, bar none.

You must be near the Towson, MD area?

Yeah, that's what I was thinking. I live near that area and I'm not a huge fan of their Men's section in the upstairs Nordstrom store. I tried to look at suits there once and I told the salesman that I was looking for a modern cut slim-fitting suit. He just kept trying to throw Hugo Boss suits at me, telling me that it was the only brand they carried that was slim-fitting. Although, I have gotten some good deals on shoes and other stuff in the Rack there.

I haven't been up there in a while. I have found some nice deals at the rack downstairs. Many times I've just skipped browsing the main store and went downstairs to the Rack.
One of the sales associates told me a while ago that their Boss pieces do real well upstairs. But yes it's definitely not slim. I remember browsing through Lacoste sportswear that was almost 65-75% off upstairs.

If you're into sportswear, Macy's at Towson mall has started to carry more RLX and Armani Jeans.
AJ is fairly new there so no big sales yet.

Quick resurrection:

Saw a Joseph Abboud Collection suit at an outlet for $199; the quality is actually decent. Half canvass and made by Southwick (made in USA).

are you sure its half canvass? I did not feel any canvassing in the lapels and could not see any subtle indents from the stitching under the lapels..

I felt the canvass just below top button. I think a half-canvass is within the realm of possibility if it's made by Southwick. They also make BB 1818 suits.

And to confirm, it's Abboud Collection, which I assume is the highest line. For $199, I think it's a decent price.

yea I saw a brown abboud collection suit at the rack today.. same made in America type of suit. I felt every where and did not feel any canvassing. I felt the chest piece which every suit has to give the chest area some shape and form but that was about it.. no canvassing in the Lapels or by the first button. I was told by a tailor there that the collection suits have no canvassing. The Abboud collection just has better fabric, bemberg lining and slight slimmer with slightly higher armholes than the other Abboud lines. It fit me quite well of the rack, but I hated the buttons and the general aesthetic (lowered gorge), so it was not my cup of tea.
