oxfords or derbies?

I was thinking Oxford like my Cleverleys but changed my mind and edited to Suede anything... maybe a 3-eyelet derby.

What the hell is a "faux brogue"? I have never heard that term before in 7+ years of hanging out in the fora.

I think he means a "blind brogue".

Blind brogues are brogues in which all (or most) of the seams are phony and the broguing is punched in to look like a seam. On these shoes, the vamp seam is real, but all the others are fake. E.g., there is no toe cap and no heal counter.

Damn, exactly what I was going to write... I'll specify that the brown blucher be a wingtip and not a longwing, but yeah.

The black captoes can be worn with any suit. The brown bluchers can be worn with any sports coat and trousers combination. And the chukka boots can be worn on the weekends.

mid brown suede semibrogue.
number 8/oxblood-ish longwing

should cover most things/seasons. if 4 shoes, make the suede semibrogues tan, and get a midbrown smooth leather double or single monk.
