Look at the NMWA Instagram. Just click the link in Greg's signature.

I've been wanting these Butteros for a while. Finally pulled the trigger a couple weeks ago when I saw NMWA has them marked down. Thankfully, I got the right size as these are final sale. For reference, I went with size 43 and measure 10.5D US on a Brannock Device.

I'm looking forward to breaking these in, and I'm sure they'll age nicely. I've yet to actually wear them except inside, as they are very squeaky. Seems to be from the uppers rubbing against the tongue as I walk. I'm confident it will go away in time, and I think conditioning the leather a bit should help. Anyone have recommendations for a leather conditioner for these? Does Buttero make something?

Otherwise, I'm pretty happy with them. A great casual shoe and a nice step up from the canvas sneakers I typically wear. Also very pleased with NMWA customer service. As you can see in the pic, this pair came with brown laces that match the shoe. The product images on NMWA's site, however, show a black or very dark brown lace. I think I prefer the look of the darker, contrasting laces, and Kyle was kind enough to send me some of the darker laces free of charge. Thanks again, Kyle!

I've used baby powder underneath squeaky insoles on other shoes, and yeah, it works. Not sure how practical it would be in this case for the Butteros, though, but I'll give it a shot. Thanks for the tip!

Thanks for the push on this... based on this kick in the but I pulled the trigger on this. I really didn't need to spend this money but this for me is a grail coat that I'd never be able to afford at full retail.

Used it on all my Butteros and it does the trick for me too.

Correct. Squeaking is almost always because of moisture and friction. Shaking baby powder inside the shoe draws out the moisture.

I just took out the leather insoles and put in ones for athletic shoes.

I did the same thing, but for comfort and fit reasons, as the leather was stiff and unyielding. The newer insoles seem better though.

You guys are missing out. Once those badboys mold to your feet it's like walking on a pair of soft, pillowy bovine clouds.

I tried, but they were too slippery and hard for my feet. Plus squeaky.

Yep, wasn't there. Didn't receive any confirmation emails either ...
Still pending but I guess I'll keep an eye on my NWMA account over the next couple of days and see what happens.

^I didn't get a confirmation email the one time I did Pay with Amazon. Just figured it had something to do w/ the third-party payment. Wouldn't sweat it at all.

Don't need more outwear, but I can vouch Monitaly being proper good stuff, has the double breast pea/army coat, love it so far
